Welcome
Thomas Merton reminds us: “We are already one, but we imagine we are not, and what we have to recover is our original unity, what we have to be is who we are.”
We are broken and wounded; worthy and unworthy; weak and strong; asleep and awake; giving and self absorbed; changed and changing; deserved and deserving. We are a living, graceful body of mutually caring persons who are still learning to live as Jesus teaches. Even while there is still a need for healing, we try to accept and welcome others as they are and are becoming. Daily we ask God to use us, refine us, summon out what we are called to be and gain our original unity. We would feel honored if you would join us around The Table of The WORD and BREAD. We can be more with you.
In the name of our St. Joseph Community who continue to serve each other and those in need beyond our boundaries.
Rich Danyluk,ss.cc. Pastor OUR COVENANT
We gather as St. Joseph Community acknowledging that we live in God’s Covenant and that this Covenant is a sacred promise that invites real sharing of life. Together we gather to listen to the word of God and continue to learn to live as Jesus teaches.
We may each live our own individual lives, but as members of St. Joseph Community our life changes. We belong to a broader Christian community. We are called to share with each other and the larger world community. In this, our covenant with God and each other, we promise to dedicate our lives to serving God by serving others.
To this end, we will further the Gospel by:
May our hearts be stretched to bring this Covenant to life by pledging our time, talent, prayers, energy and financial resources to the service of others.
We lift up our spirits and our gifts to God through this Community Covenant.
